Happy New Year, everyone! A great 2016!
I hope you all celebrated the new year and had a lot of fun! The beginning of a new year means different things to each of us, however, one thing is almost common: we all start making plans, establishing goals; we make resolutions for the New Year. We will be stronger, we will have definite goals and we will work hard to achieve them, we will eat healthy food, stop smoking, exercise, write at least 10 pages a day and so on. I wonder, though, how many go from establishing general goals to enforcing them. Or if they do, how long do they keep following the right path? I am one of the people that can establish goals, but it is something fuzzy, something I want to reach but efforts are scattered and excuses are plenty. I can't exercise today, but it is not my fault - there is a twinge in my elbow - clearly the weather. I don't think it is too bad if I eat that piece of cake! One piece! What's the harm? Had it been two or three... and anyway, tomorrow I will walk more and there'll be a balance. Okay, I can't write ten pages today.... I'm reading an interesting book - I can't put it aside... There is tomorrow.... So, laziness, foggy goals, complaisance, instant gratification... Take it as you wish, but there I am. How many are like me, I wonder? I am sure there are, and if there aren't, then no worries. Each of us likes to have uniqueness. And I may be slow, but I get there in the end, by leaps and jumps ... Whatever works. But I will try to stick to my New Year's Decisions.... how long, God knows, but I will try. What about you? Do you feel like making a resolution list? Why not? What do you have to lose?

Yes, I am so familiar with the "easier said than done" mode ... and yes I did set some goals and I will try to get in to the "just do it" phase but then again if I begin to take some steps it's still an improvement, that's what I am aiming for this year. Enjoy the ride !
